| Ohfish Communications is a wireless products and systems provider. Founded in 2000, Ohfish has developed a GSM/GPRS cradle for Palm PDA and a wireless GSM/GPS personnel security device for security companies. With its extensive experience in wireless technology, in 2004, Ohfish has extended its development into the an automatic meter reading device (AMR) product to meet the needs of gas utilities for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
Ohfish now designs and manufactures AMR solutions and smart meter solutions that are cost-effective and simple to deploy. Ohfish's AMR products allow gas utilities to obtain customer consumption readings as well as safety information about the meters using wireless technology. At Ohfish, we make technology research and development a top priority. Ohfish's vision is to become the world's leading wireless solution provider. We are focused on creating meter solutions as part of the next step in the evolution of home automation computing. While the current automatic meter reading (AMR) is an efficient way for gas utilities to obtain meter readings data, the new Ohfish paradigm takes the AMR to the next level of a true data and wireless communication device. Part of this paradigm includes building an increasingly "intelligent" service that brings information to the user, rather than requiring the user to initiate a request for information. Ohfish is already realizing this vision of true home automation by providing industry-specific intelligent AMR product and solutions for the gas utilities.
